NEW SCENERY
by Gwen Elwood.

If you always wore to sleep
The same thing every night,
Wouldn't the sandman get real bored
When you turned off the light?

And if you always ate the same old
Sandwich for each lunch,
Wouldn't you yearn for something else
To satisfy the crunch?

And if you always played the same old
Board game after school,
After weeks of nothing new
Wouldn't life seem cruel?

And if you always liked to sing
Only your favorite song,
Would you notice that real soon
No one would sing along?

Believe me that it's really true--
A change is sometimes good for you.
