WINNING
Johnny loved to play a game.
He always knew the score.
And if his number was not best,
He'd mope and slam the door.
And every day he'd bring a game,
To challenge someone new,
And if he did not come out first--
Well, you know what he'd do!
A winning score is what it took--
The only way he'd smile.
And if he did not beat them all,
It was not worth his while.
But folks like you and me--we know
That when the game is done,
It's not the score that makes us smile--
But playing that was fun.
